“Effective memos to make recommendations” illustrates our approach to instructional design. We build a short slide show around a concept. The slide show unfolds in three steps.

The course starts by introducing the theory or principle along with a corresponding illustration. This simple method reminds the student of what he or she may see when looking the concept up in a dictionary or reference book.

The course continues with an example. The example is in the form of an exercise. The example lists the steps of the reasoning. And as the steps unfold, they reveal the solution accordingly.

An exercise concludes the slide show. Feedback comes instantly to provide the student with guidance, thereby enabling students to measure progress.
