In the realm of words and phrases, where rules abide,
Lies the heart of English, a grammatical ride.
Nouns, pronouns, and verbs, in harmonious dance,
Together they waltz, giving language a chance.
Adjectives add colors, like a painter’s fine brush,
To describe, to distinguish, they’re a linguistic hush.
Adverbs, like whispers, modify the verbs’ pace,
They tell us how, when, and where, in this intricate space.
Prepositions connect, like bridges they stand,
Linking ideas and places, across this vast land.
Conjunctions unite, like a bond that won’t sever,
Joining words, phrases, and thoughts, and making language clever.
Articles, tiny heralds, the “a,” “an,” and “the,”
Guide us to the known, or to what’s yet to be.
Interjections, like exclamations, express our surprise,
Oh, the joy of language, as it endlessly flies!
Syntax and structure, in sentences they reside,
With subject and predicate, they take us on a ride.
Punctuation marks, they’re the traffic signs,
Guiding the flow of words, in these rhythmic lines.
So, let’s embrace this grammar, with reverence and grace,
For in the English language, it finds its rightful place.
In the tapestry of words, it weaves its subtle thread,
English grammar, a masterpiece, in every book we’ve read.
With rules and exceptions, and syntax that’s profound,
In the world of language, it’s the treasure that’s found.
Grammar, the guardian, of the language we adore,
A symphony of words, forever to explore.
