The Simple Present Tense

Le temps présent simple est utilisé pour décrire des actions habituelles, des faits généraux ou des vérités universelles.

Il est formé en utilisant le verbe principal à l’infinitif</em, sauf pour la troisième personne du singulier où il prend la terminaison -s ou -es.

Par exemple :

  • I study English every day.
    J’étudie l’anglais tous les jours.
  • She watches TV in the evening.

The Present Continuous Tense

Le temps présent continu est utilisé pour décrire des actions qui se déroulent au moment présent ou qui sont en cours de réalisation.

Il est formé en utilisant le verbe “to be” conjugué au présent suivi du verbe principal avec la terminaison -ing.

Par exemple :

  • I am studying English.
    J’étudie l’anglais.
  • She is watching TV.
    Elle regarde la télévision.
  • They are playing football.
    Ils jouent au football.
