Commenting on the Results of the Elections

The lead candidate after the first round of the elections is pro-business. But, he will increase taxes if elected. This is because he must gather votes from the right to the left. As a result, he must show some commitment to socialist ideals, as well as to conservative and pro-business ones.

Consequently, if elected, the candidate might have people go down into the streets to protest. This could very well result in a situation where the economy is blocked. Simply because people are unhappy, and they want to demonstrate their opposition to the government’s politics.

Another way to express a political opinion without taking your protest to the streets, is to simply stop buying the products from the corporations that financially back the candidate. Doing so, is thinking more strategically. An unhappy elector can financially “punish” the supporters of the politicians they do not want by not buying from them.

This is probably the most effective way to express one’s disagreement with politicians, who would otherwise simply make a promise to change things and eventually do nothing.
